Eco-friendly Business

Did you know that 4 million tons of office paper are discarded every year in U.S. offices?

There are simple ways to prevent this unnecessary waste of paper. In an effort to diminish our carbon footprint, Advanced Data Corporation has adopted standard environmentally friendly business practices that maintain - even enhance - our superior level of client service and data security.

Reduce

Paperless business practices not only reduce waste, but they also save time and money. As business models continue to evolve year-by-year, Advanced Data strives to incorporate paperless practices as often as possible.

The verification and post-closing quality control services we provide are largely conducted without using a single sheet of physical paper.

We accomplish this through the use of industry-leading databases and our own proprietary software developed with green business in mind.

Reuse

While reducing paper use is critical (and easy) in this day and age, it is not always possible to do everything electronically in the mortgage lending industry. However, the Advanced Data team strives to reuse whenever we can.

Just in the office, we use recycled paper for intra-office document printing and encourage employees to use dishware instead of paper products.

While these are small changes, such efforts can make BIG differences over time - both environmentally and cost-related.

Recycle

Recycled paper helps our environment in a number of crucial ways...

  • Protecting our natural resources.
  • Saving energy
  • Creating fewer toxic by-products
  • And minding our already overcrowded landfills.

When print is necessary for any of our work at Advanced Data, recycled paper is ALWAYS our first choice, Our team also provides eco-friendly giveaways with promotional products made from recycled materials.

Fraud and Identity Theft

It is important to protect yourself against fraud and identity theft. To do this, you must understand the different ways it can happen, avoid the most common fraud-causing situations, and know what to do if you face this type of problem.

Consumer Bill of Rights

The Federal Trade Commission (“FTC”) enforces credit laws that protect consumer’s rights to obtain, use, and maintain credit. The Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) was designed to help ensure credit reporting agencies furnish correct and complete information to businesses to use when evaluating a consumers application.

Fair Credit Reporting Act

As a public service, the staff of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has prepared the following complete text of the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. Although staff generally followed the format of the U.S. Code as published by the Government Printing Office, the format of this text does differ in minor ways from the Code (and from West’s U.S. Code Annotated).

Fair Credit Reporting Act Overhaul

The Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) has been in existence for 44 years with the last changes to it happening in 2003. If passed, this bill could have an overwhelming impact on a consumer’s credit scores and open the doors to loans for hundreds of thousands of potential borrowers who cannot currently qualify for one. According to Waters, these changes are long overdue.
